Both my colleagues and I are very excited that the acquisition of Alexander Forbes Risk Services has been given Competition Authority go-ahead and that we can finally get together as a business after many months of behind the scenes planning. I am personally honoured to have been invited to lead the combined business and during the last few months I have become more and more convinced of the benefits that this acquisition will provide to both our clients and all of my colleagues. Our clients will benefit from the wealth of expertise and resources which will be available to them from the combined business, and our colleagues will enjoy expanded career opportunities and learning experiences. These range from Marsh University to dedicated Practice Groups which will add value to our personal development as well as to our clients.

Marsh Africa certainly is going to be an exciting place to be over the coming months and years and I personally am looking forward to working together to create a new Pan-African leader in the insurance broking and risk advisory space.
