"The North West Environment Outlook Report is a detailed analyses of the past, present and future state of North West Province.

It focuses on the complex inter-relationship between the bio-physical environment, human needs and activities, and the economy.  Issues are reported on through the use of environmental and sustainable development indicators.

The aim of this report is to describe environmental issues in a Provincial context and to provide non-specialist readers with a friendly guide to significant environmental trends, the relationships between these trends and human activities, and the current response to environmental deterioration.  The project is a follow-on from the 2002 North West State of the Environment Report."
